Hi, I’m Ruben. I’m a full-stack software developer, a soon-to-be Catholic.
The developer side
I started coding in 2019 through Lambda School (now BloomTech), and I’ve been building ever since. These days I work across the whole stack, and I am an expert in JavaScript. I like making things that are simple and genuinely useful, like a browser extension that just makes your tab louder, or a quiet little app for praying the Rosary. You can see some of what I’ve built on my Projects page and on GitHub.
Next on my list is XR. I love virtual and mixed reality, and I want to start building for it soon.
The faith side
About three years ago I came to believe in God, and after a lot of searching I found my way to the Catholic Church. On Sunday, October 25, 2026, I took my rite of entrance, and I’m now working through OCIA at St. Joan of Arc Parish. It’s been one of the most meaningful journeys of my life, and the Rosary has been a big part of it. That’s what led me to start building Full Rosary.
I’m also hoping to get more involved in the Christian community, both in person and online. If that’s you, I’d love to connect.
When I’m not coding
You’ll probably find me playing video games or out camping. I’m a big fan of stealth camping, where it’s just me, a tent, and somewhere quiet.
